We are a registered nonprofit organisation committed to restoring and strengthening relationships between children and their families by providing safe, structured spaces for reconnection.
We support children and their caregivers to rebuild trust, improve communication, and navigate conflict in a way that prioritises the well-being of the child.
Our Story
The Samuel Lawson Foundation was established by founders Jade and Ernest Lawson in loving memory of their son, Samuel Lawson.
Samuel was stillborn at 38 weeks. Although his life was brief, his legacy continues to inspire a mission rooted in hope, compassion, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to feel safe, seen, and connected to the people who matter most.
Through both personal experience and years of working as an advocate in family law alongside children and families navigating separation and conflict, Jade came to recognise the challenges many families face in accessing timely and affordable support. Public services are often overburdened, while private services remain financially out of reach for many.
Determined to help bridge this gap, Jade together with her husband Ernest established the Samuel Lawson Foundation.
Today, the Foundation works alongside parents, caregivers, social workers, mental health professionals, mediators, legal practitioners, and the courts to help ensure that children remain at the centre of every decision.
Through initiatives such as the Treehouse Family Centre, the Foundation seeks to create safe spaces and increase access to professional support so that more children can maintain meaningful family connections.
Samuel’s legacy lives on through this work, reminding us that every child matters and that every child deserves the opportunity to experience love, connection, and belonging.
Because parenting should not end when relationships do.
